Peter Hope’s compositions date from the late 1950’s, and it was in the Fifties and Sixties that most of the Light Music compositions for which he first came to the general public’s notice were written. Most, though not all, have been re-recorded from 2000. Also dating from this period, and into the Seventies he wrote numerous “library” pieces ( mostly recorded by Weinbergers) and also many light pieces recorded by Mozart Edition.
Since 2000 he has returned to composition, and these pieces are somewhat more serious than the early work, though still in a melodic and accessible idiom. Again a number of these, though not all have been recorded. We hope to be able to include news of the most recent work on this web site.
