November 2022

Jesus Leon recorded with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra the arrangements I had written and adapted for him last year. The recording had been delayed because of Covid. I'm so looking forward to hearing it.

October 2022

Opening concert of the Alwyn Music Festival my Oboe Sonata and recorder Sonata played in belated 90th birthday by Richard Simpson, John Turner and Janet Simpson. Though I wasn't able to get to Aldeburgh (The red house) John told me that it went well. They ended the concert with my Edgeley Tram, a fun piece for recorder and piano.

September 2022

1st night of Malinche the Musical in Madrid. Nacho has been working on this for years and I have written and recorded lots of arrangements so have "fingers crosssed".

David Juritz kindly included 2 more pieces on mine: the Divertimento for the Guitar and string Trio and the Serenade for string trio- in this year's Burton Bradstock festival to mark my 90th birthday (delayed by Covid). Lovely performances by David, Yuri Zhislin, Adrian Bradbury, and Craig Ogden.

A delightful performance of my clarinet sonata by Anna Hashimoto and David Gordon at Burton Bradstock, as part of this year's festival.

At Abbey Road. To record my arrangements of Nacho Canos great football anthem written for Villa Real centenary. Because of Covid we had to record half the orchestra in the morning and then the rest in the afternoon. A lovely day and a great success.

Craig Ogden was going to play my Divertimento for Guitar and String Trio at the Burton Bradstock Festival but that festival has also been cancelled.

Netflix are making a biopic about Nacho Cano and the making of his new Musical called Malinche, and he wanted to include me in the film. So Nacho and his team came on the 28 th of August and a film crew of 4 filmed us in my studio and

May 2020

Thanks to John Turner, plans had been made for a concert in Stockport in to celebrate my 90th birthday. The concert was to be repeated a couple of days later at my old school, Cheadle Hulme School and I had written a little piece for 4 of the students, based on the notes C, B, E flat which in German and continental notation is C, H, Ess. John also arranged for my Oboe and Recorder Sonatas to be performed at the William Alwyn Festival in October. Alas due to Covid 19 these concerts have all been postponed till 2021.

April 2020

I have finished adapting 3 of my arrangements –“Amapola”, “Besame Mucho”, “Granada”, and a new arrangement of “Amaneci otra Vez” for the Mexican Tenor - Jesus Leon -for a recording with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. The date of the recording is as yet unknown due to Covid.

I wrote 4 new scores for the show which we recorded at Abbey Road studio 2 on the 19 th October.
