Compositions and Works
Peter Hope
Composer & Arranger
“A gratifying encounter with someone who is clearly a very thoughtful musician indeed.”
Piers Burton-Page (review of CD Songs and Chamber Music - Peter Hope)
"Although all the performances on this disc are more than competent, it is Peter Hope's music that is the main attraction, tuneful, inventive, and accessible; the works on this recording are welcome contributions to the wind repertoire. Certainly on the lighter side, they were wholly successful at brightening my day, a reminder of why we need this kind of music."
James V. Maiello (Fanfare Archive review of “Wind Blown”
Peter Hope’s compositions range from a more recent substantial body of serious tonal works written since 2000 e.g.

As an arranger he has written recording scores for such well-known singers as Jose Carreras, Jessye Norman, Stuart Burrows and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. He worked closely with the American conductor Charles Gerhard and also with the Spanish composer and record producer Antoni Parera Fons. He also worked as arranger and orchestrator with the celebrated Spanish “pop” star Nacho Cano (of “Mecano”) on his solo albums and the music for the Spanish 2012 Olympic bid and the official wedding music for his Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Spain.
Peter also worked on a team of orchestrators for the American film composers, John Williams, James Horner and Laurence Rosenthal.
His compositions and arrangements have been played by many major orchestras throughout Europe, America and Australia.
