Peter Hope’s compositions range from a more recent substantial body of serious but tonal works written since 2000: to earlier Light Music, including the Ivor Novello award winning “Ring of Kerry” suite,  through Library music and Media music - including the BBC-TV news theme used from 1969 to the early 1980’s.

As an arranger he has written recording scores for such well-known singers as Jose Carreras, Jessye Norman, Stuart Burrows and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. He worked closely with the American conductor Charles Gerhard and also with the Spanish composer and record producer Antoni Parera Fons. He also worked as arranger and orchestrator with the celebrated Spanish “pop” star Nacho Cano (of “Mecano”) on his solo albums and the music for the Spanish 2012 Olympic bid and the official wedding music for his Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Spain.

He also worked on a team of orchestrators for the American film composers, John Williams, James Horner and Laurence Rosenthal.

His compositions and arrangements have been played by many major orchestras throughout Europe, America and Australia.
